Other At-Risk Systems
What are other at-risk systems?
In addition to evaporative cooling systems and hot and cold water systems there are other risk systems that may produce aerosols, thus posing a foreseeable risk of exposure to legionella. The Green Compliance team can assess the Risk associated and provide a suitable program of recommendations to reduce associated risk.
Some Examples of Other At-Risk Systems
This following list is not exhaustive but serves to provide some examples of the broad range of other systems where risks may exist:
- air washers, wet scrubbers, particle and trivial gas scrubbers
- emergency showers, eye-baths and face wash fountains
- fire, dust and odour suppression systems
- fountains and decorative water features including those on display for sale
- horticultural misting systems
- industrial effluent treatment plants
- irrigation systems
- misting devices used for humidifying vegetables, meat and other food products
- non-disposable nebulisers used for respiratory therapy
- paint spray preparation equipment
- powered dental equipment
- spa pools
- spray humidifiers
- sprinkler and hose reel systems
- tunnel pasteurisers and similar equipment
- ultrasonic humidifiers/foggers
- vehicle washers including automatic washers for cars, buses, lorries and railway rolling stock
